After taking a hiatus from almost all lifting for three weeks, Im back at it. Ive been staying conservative with the weight on the barbell and focusing on positioning. My lifts have been slow as a result, but I am still feeling them out. After having issues with my low back on and off for a few months, I found out that the discs werent healthy. Luckily they werent injured in the form of a rupture or a bulge. I started getting traction done weekly, and immediately I could tell a difference. I made the judgment call to quit the lifting for a bit to optimize the healing process, and it seems to have paid off. My back feels great other than typical muscle soreness. To all my CrossFitting/lifting friends, if you are constantly under load, take care of yourselves.
