After talking about bikes, bike safety, attitudes... the Netherlands almost always comes up. They do like to separate their infrastructure. This is an interesting video. I noted two things.. 1) how courteous the drivers are - even if the cyclists didnt signal their intent in the US, a good likelihood theyd be run over a fair amount of the time. 2) no painting bike lanes... the color is mixed into the asphalt before it it laid down as road bed.
