After the April 27 Canonizations, the Church once again rejoices at the upcoming Beatification of one of her Pontiffs, Venerable Paul VI, on October 19. Indeed, this is a full canonization of sorts of the Second Vatican Council, started by St. John XXIII, continued and finished by Paul VI. The Council, spearheaded by these two figures, was vigorously implemented and promoted by St. John Paul II. Now we have a full-circle view of the Council thanks to these three holy figures, and to our Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, who taught the Catholic world the correct and right view of the Council.
