After the Football Clubs success in winning the Borough Cup for the 4th time it was the turn of the bowlers to face the league leaders Ards at Ballywalter. Ards had won the previous encounter 6-1 and if Ballywalter wanted to maintain their league challenge a repeat had to be avoided. It was evident from the off that Ballywalter were up for the challenge and as the match progressed some big bowls were played across the green. The game was tight across the green but a serious comeback by K.Masseys rink spurred on the other rinks and Ballywalter finished the night with a 6-1 victory. The only losers on the night were E. Lowrys rink who did extremely well to keep the score to within 3 shots against a very strong Ards rink. Other winners on the night were A.Davidsons rink by 1 shot and D Palmers rink who won by a substantial 12 shot margin. Well done to B Calvert and A Davidson as without your work on the green after the rain the match may not have taken place. Thanks Lads and Well Done. Midweek at home on Wed night against NICS.
