After two accidents, one while riding a motorcycle, another car wreck a few years later, Michelle Philpots, was left with head trauma resulting in amnesia. This type of amnesia has resulted in short term memory loss. After going to bed and sleeping through the night, she wakes up in the morning not remembering anything from the day before or the twenty previous years of her life. Every morning she wakes up thinking it’s 1994. By the way, Michelle is married. Every morning, her husband Ian, has to show Michelle photos from their wedding album, proving they are married. As a follower of Jesus, we need to make sure we don’t suffer spiritual amnesia. Every morning wake up with Jesus. Let Him show you from His wedding album, the Bible, that we are His. Let the photo, like the one found in John 15:4, “Live in Me. Make your home in Me just as I do in you,” remind us of who we are and who we belong to. Know your true identity.
