After waiting so long for an opportunity to consider immigration reform, House Republicans approved destructive legislation to ban our DREAMers from working and block their ability to stay in America. At the same time they funded militarization of our border without providing sufficient resources for other needs and removed anti-trafficking protection for Central American children. Fortunately, only one Democrat voted with them for this travesty. Hopefully, the Senate will stand firm against this giant step backward, and President Obama will move forward with additional executive action on immigration.
