After watching The Great Gatsby earlier today; it confirmed what Ive always suspected to be true. That in life we all have that 1 dream, that false hope, that elusive illusion of what we had or who we were that we cling to day in and day out, believing we will regain its beauty, its glory again. But, this will never and could never be no matter our efforts or sacrafices to obtain it... ... for we know that that dream, hope, or little green light at the end of the dock, could never live up to our expectations or ideas of it. It would be to little, to late. It would be incomplete and destroy us more, break us down slowly because we would feel guilty for losing something that might have never been ours to begin with... you cannot repeat the past, time forgives no one. In memory people never age, never die, never go away, time has no domain, but memories are only pieces of what we had. They have no value in the past. I supposse thats what destroys men-the idea of love, of others, and the fact that neither ever live up to what we wanted or couldve of had.
