After watching the Sunday game last night, it seems to be accepted and that it is ok for referees to continuously perform to a mediocre standard and these same guys still get the big games. I have had enough of this crap. The players across the country put in far too much effort for for this to continue yet they are always the ones criticised. Referees get a fee per match and at inter county level they also get expenses, so its time we woke up to the lame excuse of only for them, the games would not be played. There are still plenty of unemployed people out there that would be delighted of these expenses & fees if they got properly trained up. Something has got to be done once and for all instead of constantly massaging their egos and accepting the poor standard we are consistently getting. They get more reward than the players at present. Absolute disgrace.
