After working there for two years, my girlfriend got a position at the same store. It was fine until two managers realized we were a couple. These managers didnt like me on a personal level and moved her from her original position to another directly beneath them. They claimed that she couldnt work her original spot because it would mean wed have interaction and that was against the rules. However, a cashier at that store was working beneath her boyfriend, and a married couple were allowed to work on projects together daily. There was also an aunt and niece allowed to work on the same team. These managers neglected proper training and overloaded my girlfriend with work from the team members they favored. They also harassed her daily. We reported them to Human Resources, but the HR person was friends with them and did nothing. The managers waited until we went back to work to speak to her alone. They told her not to go to HR again. She was eventually fired for failure to meet expectations and was also blacklisted from Target.
