After working with some amazing people to do some good in the world, I am extremely heart broken to hear that there is still so much sorrow and despair left, with the UCSB shootings. What angers me is the misogyny and misguided ideologies of the particular young man responsible for this heinous crime. While he was obviously mentally ill, the severity of his attacks and the intent of it all makes me disgusted. The fact that his intentional target was women in addition to his racist tendencies saddens me. In despite of all this, I believe, no, I KNOW that there is still good in the world. We must not let this seemingly despairing moments ruin the strive for a better tomorrow, a day filled with love and hope. To the family and friends of the victims, words could never, ever, express my feelings of condolence and sentiment. Keep fighting on, yall.
