After yesterday I spend most of the day thinking about what what was supposed to happen. When youre 32 youre not supposed to die, you should be closer to a midlife crisis than the grave. Youre supposed to outlive your parents, and retire, and get wrinkly and crabby and grey and perhaps buy an RV and tour all the states and retire to Florida in the winter. And yesterday was a big smack in the face to realize what was supposed to happen may not be what actually happens. Yet it doesnt mean we arent where we are meant to be and theres not a bigger picture we arent seeing. And while at this moment I cant think of any good reason why Jason Mayo shouldnt be here, I am grateful for all the years I spent with him and all of my cousins I have because of him. Because even if he isnt supposed to be here, I know we were all supposed to be friends and in each others lives.
