Afternoon all, The Government announced today in the Queens Speech, that from autumn 2015 there will be a new tax-free childcare subsidy worth up to £2000 per year. The EDCM campaign welcomes the recognition that the Government has made of the costs of childcare, and the commitment to help all families with children under the age of 12 with those costs. However, as childcare for disabled children is more expensive than for non-disabled children, we would like the additional costs for families with disabled children to be recognised and supported.
