Afternoon, everyone! The Ogres and I just wanted to give a quick shout out to everyone who came to Friday Night Magic last night, and say thank you for making it great! We also wanted to shine the spotlight on a few gems that seemed to slip under the radar due to all of the holiday chaos. First off I wanted to talk about Corvus Bellis newest release, the Infinity Core Rule book. Following up their release of Infinity Operation: Icestorm, the Core Rule book assists players with improved, streamlined rules, as well as new troops and background lore. The futuristic world of Infinity launches players across the cosmos in an epic sci-fi adventure, and the Infinity Core Rule book is an absolute must for any fans of the Infinity Game, or of the sci-fi genre. Following with our theme of follow-up releases, DC comics finally released Rivals: Batman VS Joker! The next installment of the DC Comics Deck-Building Game, Batman VS Joker lets players duke it out as one of comics most infamous rivalries. With 2 decks of cards and plenty of new schemes and gadgets to use, Batman VS Joker is completely compatible with any DC Deck-Building games. An amazing addition to the already phenomenal DC Deck-Building franchise, Batman VS Joker is the perfect way for new players to join the game, or for veterans to boost their decks that extra bit! Anyone who knows me personally, knows I absolutely love social games. Being able to talk with people, and deceive my way to victory always brings a sense of satisfaction, and The Resistance is one of my favorite social games. Players must fight for freedom as the resistance against an evil corporation, but there are spies amongst them which must be found. Resistance finally released two new expansions, Hostile Intent and Hidden Agenda. The Hostile Intent expansion allows players to battle more directly, change the outcome of certain events, and force the truth from each other at a price, whilst Hidden Agenda lets players assassinate opposing leaders, lure players to their side, and capture spies from opposing factions.
