Afterwards G2 report: Advertised as some hills and surprises (:-) about 14 of us took off via planned route until the first surprise.....water flowing ford just after Doolittle Lane after Totternhoe - a few wet feet and a few bridge walkers....ride through over Pitstone hill......climb up from Aldbury A41 to rear of Champneys, back Berko road to Haresfoot Farm and then long lane descent and small (1:4 hair pin bend and further climb) a surprise for those unfamiliar with The Bovingdon area. Then on to Chesham road,we turned right to head towards Ashley Green (some group tidying took place by captain Carl ) then through to Hawridge....then through and up to the Common at Cholesbury, nicely missing Chesham. Upset by some, we had ridden too many hills, we cycled down the Krong and enjoyed the long free wheel.....then before we knew it up again! To Wendover woods, passing Watford CC hill climbing time trial (they had cycled from Watford first!).....then a well deserved cake and T after a Hub style wait. We returned via Aston C, Puttenham, Long M, Cheddington and Slapton.....the quickest way back to LB. Riders peeled off as there homes became closer, Wing, Dunstable, Billington, Pages Park and only one made it back to the Black Lion. It was a fun ride and a nice group. Nice that Keith joined us for the first time from Dunstable - you rode well. Carls lead assistance was appreciated. Total miles, about 45? and speed, well I assume less than 16mph and more than 14...if any one has the route to share via Garmin that would be interesting.
