Again, a promise is a promise, a bit late, but here you are, Debbie Parish TOMATO SAUCE Ingredients 120g onions, cut into halves 50g extra virgin olive oil 800g or 1 kg crushed tomatoes, canned or natural tomatoes 1 sp sugar 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste) Variations - you can add different spices depending on what you want to use for: -5 to 10 fresh basil leaves (pizza and pasta) -1 tsp oregano (pizza and pasta) - 3 garlic cloves (pasta) PREPARATION 1. Place onion (and garlic if you choose this option). Chop 5 sec/speed 4( if you like small pieces, chop 7 seconds/ speed 5). 2. Place olive oil into mixing bowl and sauté 7 min/120°C (TM5) or varoma(TM31)/ speed1 Note: if you are using natural tomatoes add it after step 2 and chop 15sec/ speed 5 and proceed with the recipe. 3. Add tomatoes, sugar, salt and spices you choose. Cook 30 min/100°C/speed 2. Place simmering basket instead of measuring cup on top of the lid to prevent splashing. Note: fresh tomatoes, 30 min/varoma/speed 2. To vacuum packaging, places hot tomato sauce in a glass jar and put it face down on the table and cool it down.
