Again, another miracle made possible by the one and only, God. I thought I was lost earlier this afternoon until I saw this wonderful couple interacting with local PD. Because we are Vet Hunters, we decided to see what we could do to help because we knew this was an issue regarding homelessness. Glad we did because as we pealed the layers of this situation, it started to pour down rain. We immediately sought out a hotel for warm shelter. Thanks to donations, this Warrior and his wonderful partner wont be staying in the cold wet streets. While in the warm room, we pulled out information on local resources, cold weather shelters and pick up sites. We also arranged for a pick up tomorrow a little before check out for housing options. As we were paying for the room, I heard what I thought was prayer behind me. As I turned around, I saw her praying thanking God for answering their prayer. So, what I believed was me being lost was actually a path God put us on and we all know his GPS is very accurate. What melted my heart was yes the prayer but to hear the words from the couple as they walked into their room Oh my goodness, its so warm in here. This my friends is the reason why we ask for blankets, jackets, socks, gloves and anything that can bring comfort to a sad situation. I have always been impressed on either how grateful, religious or in love that takes place in the homeless population. I learn so much daily from the best teachers possible that appreciate what they have even if it is so little, my homeless brothers and sisters.
