Against all odds- V Mission One Accomplished. It took me three whole years to achieve this. It was then when I decided to opt myself out of the well set job. Back then colleague at office were dependant on me. So much so, that sometimes I had to handle 3-4 heads (occasionally 5). Work involved was DC/AC Stores, failure Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Reliability Re-Engineering, Possible reason of material failure, Design Correction, CAD work pertaining to same, Follow the correction process, Occasional Energy Monitoring & Analysis. Data Compiling & projection regularly. All this @ Govt. rate. My usual working hours used to be 11 to 12 & Weekends often pass with me finishing my regular unfinished store files from home, answering each & every call of consignees & Suppliers. The division was very big with per year turnover of some 600 crores. Material from almost all possible sectors of the industry. In addition to that, when I took charge, there was a backlog of 3 to 4 years of procurement due to some technical reasons. I worked for two years & almost brought the backlog to nil. A mission was then accomplished in 2 years. To entertain the writing offers was impossible for me then & friends were putting ultimatum on me. I was helpless. As it is done, I decided to put my papers. Of course it was a planned decision, with certain Analysis & projections of finances. When I claimed that I’ll be averaging more per month than what I would’ve earned working; nobody was ready to believe me. I find fear in their eyes & a glimpse of looking at a certain loser. I was enjoying. Few months post decision, even friends & family members were looking at me as a certain loser. The time was tough. The idea was to accomplish what I was committed to. To be able to put my passive earnings equal to or more than my now quit earned income. People were looking @ me with sympathy now ! In a mid way, even I had doubts on my analysing capacity, if I am worth analysing things at all! Three years & exact that, things started to change rapidly. On 14th of May to be précised, I found myself not only achieving the target but have crossed it on the tax front. Trust me, the end result of planning, starving, persisting & achieving gives one immense satisfaction. All the meanwhile I could not write, could not simply put myself on the Anvil, of tampering & seasoning myself to the standard & quality I usually set myself at. Now friends on the creative front have started looking with doubts. All the while I could not explain myself to them or anybody else, what I am at & what I am going through. As concentration to write was out, I stopped all the secondary work like writing copy, corporate etc. While working on mission 01, I kept myself busy planning & learning of my missions 02 & 03 that are Entertainment Business & the field I like the most, Informal Education. Working on these two consistently has saved me in my own eye. Rest all were now clearly stopped counting on me, as I saw. Friends are needed to be strongly behind you during such times. I have seen few of them strongly behind me and am thankful to them without mentioning their names. As the mission 01 accomplished, moving towards mission 02 without mentioning their name is enough as they all are true friends. Next three months till August are allotted purely to 03 plays & 02 movies that are under scanner now. Next target is to set the planned house till September 14 & to be consumed 24 hours in to it. That is my commitment to a dear friend who trusted & waited patiently for me to overcome my dues. I have to assure him that all the paperwork and analysis done over these years is a perfect plan as I love to prove it. Friends, as you all know, Accomplishing a mission & moving ahead to next is the happier phase of life.
