Ah, in my continuing quest to become completely bionic, I now have a surgery date for my second knee replacement which now gives me a metallic lower left side with both the hip and the knee being made of something God did not intend to be included in humans. The right knee is feeling rather isolated being the only metal/plastic machinery on the right side of my body. I also had the orthopedic surgeon twist my shoulders around and do a quick diagnosis on them since they tend to give me more pain in Longview/Kelso like weather than even my knees. He stretched my right arm above my head to check range of motion and goes, You cant hit a tennis overhead with that! He then suggested that with the obvious arthritis that I learn to play left handed. I didnt have the heart to tell him that #1- the left shoulder usually hurts more than the oft-abused right one and #2- I already did the left handed tennis thing 2 years ago and got pretty respectable at it but gave up when the right shoulder got to feeling okay after rotator cuff/floater removal/tendon shave and bone spur removal. So, in one day I get a new knee scheduled and a diagnosis of arthritis in both shoulders. Shoot, Id better get some sleep....particularly since I have tennis at 6:30 am and then again at 3:00 pm........
