Aha, a new FF15 trailer. https://youtube/watch?v=wT3dyanB3pk One thing thats very promising is that it shows off more live orchestral music; anyone familiar with Yoko Shimomuras work will know that she tends to write beautiful music but with awfully basic midi-sounding instruments (though the Kingdom Hearts HD releases seem to be working on fixing that to some extent). With any luck, this whole soundtrack is going to be orchestral, which would be lovely. Itll be interesting to see how this polarises the Final Fantasy fanbase once again when it comes out; its something that I do quite like about Square - while they churn out the name Final Fantasy, every installment has fundemental differences in regards to gameplay. This one looks to be the most egregious departure in that regard. It very much looks like essentially a playable version of the Kingdom Hearts 2 trailer. A pretty dark setting with a lot of fantastical action. The sword teleporting system looks quite fun for traversal. Ive never been especially attached to random or turn-based battles, so I expect Ill enjoy this game immensely when it comes out. Also the graphics are looking pretty stunning. For some time Ive been expecting this game to be my favourite in the series, and that expectation still holds.
