Ahhh....I was hoping to quietly slip out the back. Its been a surreal six and a half years. Quiet, insecure, stay at home mom transforms into derby girl. How does that happen? Well first it takes an amazing town like Santa Cruz and a league like the Santa Cruz Derby Girls. It has been such an honor and a blessing to grow with this league. Traveling the country, representing this town that welcomed this crazy sport enthusiastically and with open arms is now a part of my story. I cant thank you enough. I got to play with some of the most ferocious women in the world. In my short time here my team went from total obscurity, to a Division 3 WFTDA team and the ALL THE WAY TO DIVISION 1 PLAYOFFS !!! It really doesnt get any better than that. My team mates, The Boardwalk Bombshells are some of the most inspirational, beautiful, competitive athletes Ive known. They carried me through this experience and I am so happy to call the family now. You guys are my home. I will always be a Bombshell.
