Ahhh, Paris! The fashion capital of the world! There are so many things I love about this great big city, and here are a few things I observed on my recent trip there. 1. Natural Hair, free flowing locs without killing it with a flat iron! Curly hair was rampant. Shake whatever God gave you! Let it be natural and free! 2. Ombre! I had been fearful since coloring my hair in May this blending technique, it maybe on its way out. NOT the case! I couldnt find one head of hair that had a foil done on it! Ombre is here and here to stay! 3. Flats! Parisian woman have traded in their high heels for cute sensible ballet shoes or Chanel like flats 4. Leather biker jackets. In all shades, black, brown, green or camel, leather jackets with silver zippers were making a statement on every age: from 2 years old to 80... very hip! 5.Scarfs! EVERYONE wears a scarf! I mean everyone! Dont leave home without it must be their motto on this accessory. 6.Top knots and skyhigh sock buns are still very much a thing. But of course, neither messy or throw up, very polished and put together. One thing I did find curious: I DIDNT see one BRAID! I searched and searched knowing all my clients love this trend and was curious on which braids would be making an appearance over seas... Nope, not a one! 7. Short natural nail. Not a lot of polish, very clean and simple 8.Bangs! Straight across bangs... which yall know I was excited to see. It probably has something to do with all the buns I saw, gives the face a little more interest if wearing the hair up a lot. 9. Capes. Instead of cardigans, simple to throw on and off and gives a little twist to your outfit for the day/s. 10. Converse or like high tops! Seen all over town with of course dress and short skirts... Canvas sneakers were putting their miles in! Thats about it for now. One of my favorite things to do while visiting Paris is to hang out in a nondescript cafe and watch all the locals racing to and fro, taking it all in. Studying what they are wearing, they body language and also wondering where are they all going?! AU REVOIR! XOXOXO
