Ahhhh…this is what the holiday season is all about! Ms. Maureen’s and Ms. Alyson’s Threes visited the Kindergarten/Primary 1 classrooms. Since these students have had experiences with gingerbread (among many other traditions) this holiday season, their classes came together for a very special exchange. As the hosts, our elementary students welcomed their young preschoolers to interesting center activities. As an extension of their activities, the Threes came bearing gifts of gingerbread-scented play dough they had made, complete with a cookie cutter. I wish each of you (parents) could have been a fly on the wall….you would have been so touched by the meaningful and thoughtful exchanges…friending, sharing, laughing, helping, making, building, reading, singing, giving. The spirit of the season.
