Ahmed Baba-nah: In any case, the June 4 and 31 December uprisings are celebrated right across the street from the Flagstaff House, aren’t they? No one considers Flagstaff House a security zone on those days, do they? When illegal, unconstitutional, criminal acts are celebrated right across the seat of government, the Flagstaff House is not a security zone. Yet, civil society wakes up and decides to exercise their constitutional right of assembly by demonstrating against the current hardship facing Ghanaians, and all of a sudden some people remember that the place is a security zone.
