Air India pilot and engineer fight inside cockpit at Chennai airport ------ CHENNAI: A Chennai-Delhi Air India flight was delayed by more than two hours after a pilot and an aircraft engineer had a difference of opinion which ended up in a fight inside the cockpit on Saturday. Sources said that the plane which had arrived from Mumbai was scheduled to take off at 9.45am to Delhi but developed a technical snag. Though an aircraft engineer rectified the snag, the pilot was not convinced and refused to take off. This led to a difference of opinion between the pilot and the aircraft engineer which ended in a scuffle, said an Air India official. The pilot and the engineer are injured. The aircraft is an A319, which is a relatively new plane. The fight between the pilot and the engineer happened when the technical team went inside the cockpit to compel the pilot to take off as scheduled.
