AirLIFE GUARDIAN ANGEL MEMBERSHIP Have you, or someone you have known, had a medical emergency that required a helicopter service? Emergency Air Transport for critically injured or ill persons can be very costly, even with insurance. AirLIFE has memberships that will eliminate expenses unpaid after insurance. Three years ago, River Chase joined the Hill Country Neighborhood Coalition (HCNC) in organizing a group membership that households could join at a rate of Ten Dollars ($10.00) per year if there were 100 participants. River Chase had at least 65 households that joined. Since that time, some instances that our neighbors have reported that resulted in use of the AirLIFE service were an outdoor fall from a ladder resulting in paralysis, heart attack, and a middle of the night fall resulting in severe head injury. AirLIFE covers a 150 mile radius around San Antonio and has reciprocal agreements with CareFlite in the DFW Metroplex, and HALO Flight in Corpus Christi to Brownsville area. You are covered if travelling in any of these areas. You can renew your membership by paying the yearly $10.00 fee. You will receive a sticker for your car and individual cards for each family member.
