Airfreight Clerk Coventry Salary – £18 – 23k Our International client is offering a great opportunity for someone to join their business. They are seeking people with Airfreight experience, capable of ensuring a high standard of customer care is prevalent at all times. This position supports our Air Import Dept. by processing daily import shipments and ensuring customs compliance in a timely & accurate manner. • Receiving costs and raising invoices. • Liaising with overseas offices • Managing third party providers • Arranging deliveries and collections • All Customer liaison • Liaising with airlines, handling agents & other freight forwarding companies • All areas of customer service to include quotations • Customs clearances advantage but not essential • System experience advantage but training will be given on systems You will need previous experience within Airfreight operations, ideally within a customer facing role. Excellent customer service skills are required, as is the ability to manage your own workload efficiently and proactively. You will be commercially focused, with good IT skills, including MS Word and Excel. Hours of work will be Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:30 You may be required to work additional or/and unsociable hours to meet the needs of the entire operation so some flexibility regarding working hours is necessary.
