Aisay.....spent 3 lovely days in Temerloh...organising my elder bros birthday.....dah sweet 17 lah....oooops 70th. Lagi sweet no? Got my Papago and off we went....KP...Bahau...Spg Pertang....then something misfired...Papa said turn right and we said..Ya Ya....and went straight!!....Damn! Went through Telemong ( the roads were being repaired for 15 km...bump bump bump) and straight to Karak town...then 0ne frantic call to bro and we were soon in town. Now fpor the Rest House....that little town has more twists and turns and soon we were next to the Pahang river!....Son took out his smart phone and we were on the way...and 40 minutes later we were in the rest house....total time from departure to arrival....51/2 hrs!!! ( We stopped for 3 10 m breaks to go to the loo....prostrate lah....otherwise flood the little Perodua) Late evening at Secret Recipe...eat eat eat..( I no eat..damn tired)then adjourned to a Chinese stall for a variety of noodles, sotong frieds, clams, something in the claypot etc. My bro was really happy and was chattering away with all his sibling and nephews and nieces. 9th was his bi day...booked a restaurant room and had 10...10 courses with Moet Chandon champagne 2006( what a damn big explosion when the cork was flicked off...damn near broke the ceiling), Chilean Red wine and and Italian White ( Thanks to my former student living in Italy...Keesarina Devi) So much talk and laughter and u should see the glow and delight on my bros face....and the tears he shed when asked to give a short speech. First time I have seen him shed tears......and then off to his house for tea and fruits and yakking. He was having a fine time yakking with my son outside..with his ciggies and a bottle of wine. 10th...they came over to the Rest house..and we were off to the kopi tiam for breakfast...real stuff in those china old style cups and saucers and toasted bread with butter and kaya....real pleasant treat. Then it was time to send off the gang with lots of hugs and kisses...and this time we took the right instructions from Papago..and 3hrs later....back in Fooyong and home. Was some 3 beautiful days with with family and another set of memories to file in the old noggin
