Alamo Drafthouse to open third DFW location in Las Colinas Alamo Drafthouse is getting ready to open its third location in Dallas-Fort Worth. The Austin-based dine-in theater will bring its latest DFW auditoriums to the new Music Factory in Las Colinas. The theater is slated to open in Spring 2016. Being a part of an entertainment specific development is a perfect fit, said Bill C. DiGaetano, COO of Drafhouse Cinema DFW. Co-tenants like the 8,000-seat amphitheater, extraordinary restaurants, the bowling center, and other entertainment venues give us opportunities to create incredible events for our guests at the theater or with an neighboring venue. The announcement of this location comes just one month after the company released plans to open a location in Downtown Dallas on South Lamar and Cadiz. The Music Factory is expected to feature 300,000 square feet of retail and restaurants,100,000 square feet of space dedicated to a concert hall and amphitheater, with 8,000 seats, an outdoor event plaza and 100,000 square feet of offices.
