Alarm Company: Are you the person in charge of the alarm there? Me: Sometimes, sure. Whats up? Alarm Co: We show your cellular backup hasnt communicated with the network for three days. Me: OK. Last time that happened I think it needed a battery. Its been a few years. Can you connect me to Service? Alarm Co: I can. In the meantime, do you want me to put it on Test for some period of time so we dont keep calling you? Me: I dont know what that means, but as it took the Service people three days to come out last time we had a problem, and I dont want to be called constantly, sure, lets do that. (On hold) Alarm Co: This is the Technical Dept, how can I help you? Me: Someone from your company called me and said our backup hadnt communicated with the network for three days, so I guess I need a service call. Alarm Co: I dont show any problems with your system. All the tests are working fine. Does your panel say you have an issue? Me: No, your company called me and said I have an issue. Alarm Co: I dont show that you have any issues. (Lather, rinse, repeat...finally determine to ignore it for a few days and see it they call me back again).
