Albany Crew Reunion: Please accept this message as a formal announcement/confirmation that reunion activities will be taking place in conjunction with this years Head of the Charles in Boston (Saturday October 18 & Sunday October 19.) The planning process is picking up with Angela Hayden Magary and Corilin Nocito Meggitt having offered to lead the charge on some organizational efforts. However, volunteers will still be needed - stay tuned for opportunities! Some preliminary thoughts regarding events: Alumni Race Entry (Saturday), Reunion Village along the shoreline (Saturday/Sunday), Evening Social/Dinner (Saturday). Ensuring that there are family friendly events is important. 30 Year Anniversary Events Many of you know that the upcoming year marks 30 years since the founding of Albany Crew. We anticipate that HOCR/Boston weekend to be the biggest of the events scheduled to take place throughout the year and coordinated by Friends of Albany Rowing, Inc. Generations of teammates are spread throughout the country and world. But only YOU can help to bring everyone together! If you were the maven of your era, could rally the troops when necessary, and/or managed to stay connected with those that you rowed with, please consider serving as Class Leader. This is a wonderful opportunity to pull those people together for a weekend of fun and to end the 20 year hiatus since youve last seen each other!
