Albeit a bit obscure, there is reference to Malaysia Airlines from previous lease information here, so I thought I would post this. I got a squawk 7700 alert for a Boeing 737-800 registration G-GDFY, operating Jet2 flight LS652 from East Midlands to Heraklion. After circling East Midlands Airport, it diverted to Manchester and has landed. I followed its progress but didnt get a chance to listen in to Manchesters ATC (not one of my usual haunts). Its 12.8 years old and, perhaps ironically in this context, its had six owners with the third being as a lease to Malaysia Airlines. Jet2 only took it over on 6 May from Travel Service Hungary. MAS leased it from 30 October 2005 until 30 March 2006.
