Album Review ~ Shes So Unusual by Cyndi Lauper (1983). Cyndi Lauper, how could I ever forget? That quiff of candy-coloured orange-red hair, that garish dime store prom dress she wore on the Shes So Unusual album cover. Shes So Unusual is one of the best debut albums in the history of music. Shes So Unusual is a mix of fun pop songs and songs sung from the heart. Theres no shortage of fun here, with Girls Just Want to Have Fun, Yeah Yeah, Ill Kiss You and even She Bop which also raised a few eyebrows back in 1983. This is one of the best albums released in the 80s and remains one of my personal favorites today, this does not come off as 80s drek, infact it hasnt dated at all. Its a fun, emotional and wonderful exhibit of one of musics most unique and wonderful artists.
