Alcon is proud to announce that it is the nominated brake supplier for the FIA Formula E Championship. The first season of the championship, which is for formula cars powered exclusively by electric energy, commences in September 2014 and runs through to June 2015. 20 professional drivers competing for 10 different teams will race around iconic landmarks at 10 of the world’s leading cities – including London, Beijing and Los Angeles. Alcon is supplying a bespoke carbon brake package for the Spark-Renault SRT-01E; the first car to be homologated by the FIA for the inaugural championship.
