Aleksander Żywiecki facebok/alzyw The exhbition of Aleksander Żywiecki s painting in Centrum Kultury i Sportu w Krzeszowicach opens on September 5th, 19.00 hrs. A surprise to the audience will be that they will be able to see the drawings from Aleksanders diploma work. This album contains a cycle created between 1987-88. It was prepared as partial fulfilment of the requirements for the MA degree. These drawings are illustrations to Ignacy Krasickis fables. It is not only drawing technique which was the painters objective. Also moral and philosophical reflection is important. The ideological content is expressed through symbols, graphic details and allusions in the drawings. These symbolic ideas not only render Krasickis thoughts concerning the human nature but also present the paitners, Aleksander Żywieckis own reflection on man and his world. Some of the ideas implied here are of universal timeless character while others are particularly rooted in the present reality. A special attention ought to be given to the fact that Żywieckis illustrations do not, like the darwngs by all earlier illustrators of Krasickis works, reflect the literal contents of theh fables (the plot / surface animal story) but they are focussed on the allusive philosophical side and they also have ambition to present authors own philosophical reflection on human nature
