Alert : Geelani urges parents to keep girls away from Jan 26 functions. Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani Thursday appealed school children, teachers and parents not to be part of any January 26 function and stay away from it to perform their “national duty.” In a statement from New Delhi Geelani expressed concern over the reports that some school girls are being prepared for the singing and dancing programs for this day. “It doesn’t suit to a conscious person to allow his daughter to dance or sing in front of unknown persons. It is against our collective conscious,” Geelani added. He said participation of employees is in no way any part of their duty and forcing them for this is itself a proof of the fact that the state of Jammu & Kashmir is ruled by the police and army........ #DZ
