Alert: I am not sure if this is common practice now... but I usually get my prescriptions filled at a pharmacy, not a doctors office. Today, I was given the meds and told how much they were instead of the prescriptions being sent to Publix so I just paid it. Maybe it was just a mistake, but this had never happened before so I thought it was a new procedure. While at Publix, I discussed it with them and realized I paid $10 more for the same meds I got at the doctors office. $10 may not be much, but it if happens to you every time you go to the doctor and if you have multiple family members, it will add up. I am taking the medicine back to get a refund, but I can assure you it wont happen again and I this might help someone. Always ask questions if something is different from normal.
