Alexa Meade is an artist who takes an innovative approach to art. She lives and works in L.A., graduated in political sciences, since 2009 she drown into art with the unique concept of painting portraits on live models. Her work appears to be 2 dimensional surrealistic paintings when the reflections of the 3 dimensional human forms are photographed in warped mirrored surfaces. Meade’s first models were grapefruit, eggs, toast … then moving on herself and her neighbour. She has a series with self-portraits, where she paint directly on top her face and then photographed herself.
