Alexander is as bright as a button - but ever so gentle - so happy and full of life (shame he can never work as such but makes a really fantastic companion for Sisko and I). Vet loves how he is recovering from the many ops 2 weeks ago -- another 2 weeks for the next check up - a few things still need healing but he has come along better than the vet expected. No more eye drops twice a day but still the painkillers as needed. What is really amazing and apparently unrelated is how much more Alive he is -- I think it is related - just not in an obvious way. His beautiful Dark Eyes are much clearer. Alexander is a Hugging Dog -- strangely enough - just what I need at the moment - he comes up as soon as I stir and open my eyes - and I in turn give him a real bear hug - and the world is lovely for a while - so we are helping each other. Poor Sisko wants to be close and touch but never one for hugging - he is bored and complains - but needs to wait a little longer :) Nice that he feels good enough to say Hey Mum - get up I want to do something
