Alhamdulilah for making it to Marmara Hospital where some of the Gaza victims are being treated. Every Patient had a story and I will share the joy, love, smiles and warmth they gave me first. I chose to post their smiles because wallahy none of you comes close to them. They taught me patience and strength today and this is the closest i have been to the Gaza war itself. We could not visit all the patients as some rooms were infectious due to the extent of deep infected wounds that Israel caused on some innocent civilians with their war machines. We sadly spoke to them from the door and they all made us feel at home in a hospital. My Palestinian Mum in this photo insisted that i stay for dinner but i ran out of time :(. I promised to see her soon. If you ever need to know anything about the people of Gaza, then take it from me: They are the Kindest of all, down to earth, most humble and they have too much love and respect for mankind. I felt all this today. They showered us with nothing but Love and warmth. SubhanAllah They did not let me leave without offering me something despite the condition they were in. My Palestinian mum hugged me so tight that made it impossible to leave the hospital. I pushed back all the tears before they fell as I learnt from them the most powerful statement Alhamdulilah No doubt, Gazans are a blessing to this Ummah, sending us a Reminder of who we really are and through them, I have seen today the beauty of Life and Faith. Dhiyaa is my little champion with the cutest smile ever MashAllah. I had an amazing time with him as we kept chatting about his ability to speak turkish and smart as he was MASHALLAH, He suprised us all with his counting of numbers in turkish and a few words that I myself took a couple of months to pick up in Turkey. I can proudly say i was challenged by this young man (men never challenge me but he did :p) and i declare him my champion. Whats striking is his humor, he can crack you up even if you are down. When time for Maghrib prayer came and as people grabbed the prayer mat, i teased him by the side, Dhiyaa i will pray salatul msafir({prayer of a traveller}) He looked at me and said me too. But i will pray salatul maridh (prayer for the sick) and we had a moment of nothing but pure joy and laughter. He has had a couple of operations and still has a metallic piece of splinter rocket in his kidney and the doctors are working on it. So please pray for my champ. Alhamdulilah 3ala salamah in shaa Allah. Maha, my beautiful little sister, with gorgeous brown eyes MashAllah, overwhelmed me with her smile. She however can not move her body , only her eyes and smile say it All. She has the glowing glitter of life and I know she will grow up into a beautiful lady as we pray for her healing and i see her as a fighter. In shaa ALLAH she will get up soon and teach me the dabke dance. :) She however lost her family and is now only left with her grandfather. She is from Shujaeya. I think that says it All. May Allah give all her loved ones Jannatul Firdaus. She smiled and teased me with her eyes and we both started laughing. She is an Angel like so many other Gazan children. We will all live with this weight in our hearts of wishing we did more and the only way we can possibly clear our consciousness is by demanding Justice for Maha and Gaza. We can not rest untill Israel pays for its war crimes and justice is served for the people of Shujaeya , Khuzaa, and rest of Gaza. My brother Ahmed lost his leg, still has wounds and a damaged eye but amidst that we engaged in a conversation about yemen and my studies and he let me skype with his dad and family. Met his sister Najah over skype, what a princess mashAllah, she kept giving me flying kisses and we all laughed. Sarrah (the girl in pink) barely 9 years old is in so much pain and we couldnt get to cheer her up coz she was constantly crying in pain as she suffered severe injuries in her leg. I hope and pray she recovers faster. We walked out feeling stressed but everytime i feel like breaking down i remember these beautiful souls and the smiles they gave me and that is enough to warm my heart. Above ALL, they are with Allah. And Whoever remembers ALLAH , ALLAH will Remember him.
