Alhamdulillah, I managed to complete my debut full marathon in Chiang Mai this morning. It wasnt an easy feat for me as I had to endure muscle cramps and all sorts of pain after 25km. One thing Ive learned from this experience is that the human spirit and willpower are amazing. The never say die attitude can really push you to the limit even though the odds are against you. I must also admit that the theme song from Chariots of Fire, and Iron Maidens song - The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner, were the two songs that were constantly playing in my mind during the last 10km :) Now its time to rest, and then Ill set new goals for the coming years.
