Alhumdulillah!! Like I said, Polarised week not to say the least. Awesome today SubhanAllah. Felt almost surreal after last week. Prayed Asr on the roof of the newly completed well Project in Idlib. After months of hard work and painstaking effort both in Syria and in the UK. British charity, Al Fatiha Globals- Idlib Water Well project is complete and running. Providing over 400,000 litres of fresh, clean, drinking water every day! Alhumdulillah. Schools, Masajids, refugee camps, hospitals, poor families and families with Shaheed, elderly and disabled members in Idlib, are some of the people and institutions benefiting from this amazing project, which all the donors of this charity help make a reality. Sourcing materials and electrical equipment, funding and an unstable political situation in Syria meant many setbacks for the teams working on the ground. Alhumdulillah Allah swt willed it to be complete, most importantly with the safeguarding of this beautiful Sadka Jhariha project from uneeded middlemen. Removal of the individuals meant the project was completed in less then 8 percent of the costs that were being demanded and in less then four days with the supply and fitting of an industrial size generator. Having permanent supervision teams members on the ground is always a good thing. There is a very special family from Idlib, that many of you know, whom without this project would not of materialised. Shows what the Ummah can do when they work together, across, borders, races, Madhabs and charities. Videos coming up, along with updates from the AFG refugee camp- Bab al Hawa. I am going to continue sipping at my mint tea, reminiscing with the cousins, watching the sea of water tankers filling up to go and deliver some happiness. This is why I love covering this charities work. Salaams and night :-)
