Ali Sina Wednesday 4 September 2013, 12:48 am @Marathon 15 If you ask these questions from a religious person he will have the definite answer for all them. I am not a religious person and therefore my definite answer is “I don’t know.” However, I can theorize. My theories may or may not be true and are no better than yours. Using logic I know that God does not create people to test them. Among all the theories this is the stupidest of all. God does not create people so he can send some to hell and others to heaven. Only the very fools can believe in this balderdash and we know who they are. If God knows everything what He wants to test us for? God creates the physical universe. This creation is continuous. Every day new life is created and others are destroyed. The mechanism of this creation is evolution. But our consciousness is not created. (Everything has consciousness, not just humans.) Our consciousness is eternal, because it is a “piece” of God. The best example I can make is the relationship of water molecule with the ocean. Assuming the ocean is eternal its molecules are also eternal. But water molecules evaporate and fall on the land where they acquire varied experiences. They bring life to earth. Others molecules fall into a hole and become putrid. All molecules are the same, but some become rose water and others become cesspool. I think this is a good example to describe the journey of the soul in the physical world. You ask why some children die as soon as they are born. This is like saying why some of the rain fall back into ocean and don’t enter the land like other water molecules. That is how the law of probability works. That is one of the laws on which God has built his universe. But nothing bad happens to the water that falls back into the ocean. Likewise, nothing terrible happens to a soul that enters this world and departs prematurely. Souls are indestructible. He will come back again. We have come to this physical world countless times. The water molecules that compose your body have been part of many creatures. They are indestructible, and so is your soul. We may think it is utterly unfair that a child dies, but that is because we don’t know. He is not dead. No one can die. It is impossible to die. He just has gone back home and will come to this word again. We see this as injustice because we are ignorant of the phenomenon. What is the point of this exercise? Why would God want to create a universe at all? I don’t know what is in the mind of God, but I suppose since God’s nature is love, He needed an object to love and hence he created the universe in his mind so he can love his own masterpiece. If the ocean’s water does not evaporate and does not mix with the dirt, there will be no life on Earth. We are the reflection of God. God created the physical world so he can reflect his own image in it and contemplate His own beauty. ( I suppose it it is boring to have nothing to do) Is this a satisfactory answer? I don’t know. But this is all I can think of. Matter is an illusion. Einstein proved than with his famous equation. Everything is energy. Consciousness is also energy. Consciousness is organized energy. The substance of our consciousness is the same as God. It is not a creation of God; it is a piece of God. We are thinking, loving, intelligent, curious and self-aware. These attributes exist in all animals, but not to the extent that they exist in humans. So even though our consciousness is energy, it is a much more complex form of energy than what makes your car run. God is also energy. We just can’t fathom the perfection of It. If a molecule can understand the ocean, then maybe we can understand God. However, since we can understand ourselves, we can have an idea about God.
