Aliasing is often maligned as a problem waiting to be solved in digital synthesis. Here is an example where aliasing can be used to simplify certain kinds of synthesis. Currently in the kitchen this sound is being modified to be more Rhodes-like, with the ultimate goal being a fully-synthesized Rhodes that can stand up (or at least not sit down) to halfway-decent sample sets or approaches that use physical modeling.
