Alison Berry-Bywater Update: Alison had her endoscopy today and everything went well. Shes been diagnosed with gastroparesis which involves the stomach muscle not working properly. Basically her stomach is not contracting as often as it should and therefore not pushing food through. This causes bile to collect in her stomach and thus the nausea shes been feeling. The good news is that she doesnt have a life threatening illness, the not as good new is that gastroparesis can take months to years to resolve and sometimes never resolves. The doctor has one more test to do and then well look at how best to treat the symptoms. We will get through this and we just want everyone to know how much we appreciate your encouragement, thoughts and prayers!
