Alistar is a black and white terrier mix whose estimated birthday is 1/4/14. He was accepted into the SPCA of East Texas foster program after showing up at a Tyler area business as a stray. Alistar has just graduated from Circle Star Pet Resorts 30 day training program--a $1,345 value, but his adoption fee is only $150. Alistar is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Hes great with people (including kids), cats, and dogs. Hes a volunteer favorite, and hes guaranteed to charm everyone who meets him! Alistar is in a loving foster home. He is house and crate trained (he sleeps quietly through the night and during day time naps). He loves riding in the car and plush toys. His favorite snack is raw carrots, and his favorite activities with his foster mom are watching her cook and watching TV. He is playful and energetic, and he loves having a doggie friend to play with. Alistar has learned these commands on leash: *Watch, which means to sit quietly at your side looking up at you, waiting for your command. *Walk pleasantly on a leash, neither pulling nor tripping you. *Automatically sit when you stop. *Sit and lay down promptly when asked. *Stay seated or lying down, ignoring temptations. *Come quickly when called and sit in front of you. *Finish by moving around to your side, ready to walk with you again. Alistar has also learned these house manners: *Respect people’s personal space, approaching politely and waiting for someone to indicate they want to pet him while keeping all four feet on the ground. Not rushing up to people, jumping on them, bumping their hands to get attention or mouthing their hands and arms. *Not to bump, beg or eat food and beverages set out on table, counter or floor or held by family and friends while they are standing and seated at your house! *Sit or lay down and stay when someone comes to your front door allowing you to open the door, accept a package or welcome a guest in.
