All My Children clip of the day: On this day in 1999, Vanessa makes crude innuendo after finding David and Erica together right outside his room. They deny any involvement and depart as quickly as possible. Downstairs Erica tells David shes not ready for everyone to know about them. Alex talks to Gillian, who tells her about her prior involvement with David. Gillian suggests Jake would be a better fit for the foundation. Liza tracks Adam down at the Valley Inn where she is furious about Davids name on the cell transfer papers. Adam remembers talking to Monty at the lab and using Davids name as an excuse to be there. He keeps quiet about how Davids name ended up on the papers and tells Liza to let it go. She is called away from the studio, so hes spared further questioning. Palmer finds Erica in the dining room, waiting for David, and questions her about Vanessa. Erica reiterates her distaste for Palmers wife, and Palmer blames Ericas bad attitude on David. After Palmer and Vanessa leave, David returns and tells Erica that when he becomes head of the foundation, theyll celebrate by going public with their relationship.
