All, This is your last chance to have an impact on the rezoning decision on Daves Creek Drive. The Board of Commissioners Public Meeting to decide on this application is Thursday July 18th at 6:30 PM. Send an email, or letter to each of the commissioners or call each one. Click on this link to email all of the Forsyth County Commissioners: forsythco/mail.asp - in the drop down box choose “Board of Commissioners” and it will go to all of them. Here is an example of what you might say in your email – feeling free to amend with your individual concerns: Re: Zoning Application ZA3623 Dear Commissioners, I am against the proposed zoning of land along Daves Creek Road per Zoning Application 3623 for the following reasons: • A housing density of 2.95 units per acre is not consistent with the surrounding communities of Woodland Park, Seneca, Vicki Lane, Bennington, Arden Greens, Cascading Creek Estates, Castleton, Cottages at Daves Creek, Grandview, Muirfield, Kensington, Brannon Oaks, Blackstock Mill, and Trammel Estates. A density of 2.2 or less is in line with the existing communities and would be considered acceptable. • This proposed development would have a detrimental effect on the surrounding neighborhoods. • The demand put upon existing roadways, and schools will be detrimental to the existing residents of the area. We ask that you not vote on this rezoning request until you have received from the zoning petitioner the following: • An updated and accurate plot plan or map that shows the proposed use of the areas requested to be rezoned. • Details on the set asides for streams and state waters on the property as well as addressing a buffer with the boundary of the quarry. We thank you for consideration of our view point and look forward to your denying any rezoning with density greater than 2.2 houses per acre.
