All, This past weekend was the end of the 3rd Quarter of the 12/13 Season. I have all the numbers crunched and ready to share with you. We’ll start with a summary of June and work our way around the season. The month of June had (16) tournaments and averaged (21) Pitchers per event. There were (63) Class winners between the (337) Pitchers and (12) Tournament Directors. There were 13 Pitchers coming from other Charters. We had a total of 19,746 Ringers in 68,768 shoes for an average of 28.71%. That was 85.96 Tons of Steel thrown just over 468 miles. Dale Hughes (77.5%) and Charles Woolery (64.67%) shared the High Game (HG) and High Tournament (HT) in the Elders Division. Charles Castelo (70%) and Paul Hopkins (55.5%) lead the Men Division. Nancy Wingate (50% & 43.6%) controlled the Women Division, and Jacob Parker (45% & 38.75%) had the juniors at bay. Buena Park (34) had the most Pitchers at a single tournament and South Gate (34.42%) had the Highest Tournament average. Dale Hughes (4) was the TD at the most events. Jorge Romero (18 points) won (4) Class Championships and earned “Pitcher of the Month”. Marcus Santillana (69) leads the race for “Pitcher of the Year” by only one point to Hank Kane. Dale Hughes is behind by only two points, and Jorge Romero is down by only (8). This number floats back and forth between the top three and each one has been in the lead at some point. We had a few Pitchers attend (6) tournaments this month. They are Dennis Harville, Hank Kane, Eddie Montoya, Bob Mullins, Jorge Romero, and (7) more attend (5) tournaments. The 3rd Quarter pitched a total of 54,763 Ringers in 194,992 Shoes for an average of 28.08%. That’s 244 Tons of Steel thrown 1,334 miles. That’s the same as throwing one shoe from South Gate Ca. to the World Tournament and back…. Twice!!! We pitched almost the same numbers this 3rd Quarter as we did the First and Second Quarters. We had (922) Pitchers in (42) Tournaments with (169) Class winners. The 12/13 Season so far has 129,565 Ringers in 449,308 Shoes for a Charter average of 28.84%. That my friend is 562 Tons of Steel thrown 3,091 Miles in 102 Tournaments with 2,132 Pitchers. We had 386 Class winners and Jorge Romero (13) has won the most Class patches. Marcus Santillana (9) has won the most Tournament Patches. We had a total of (58) visitors won (13) Class titles and (5) of them were Tournament Champions. We have (3) more months of the 12/13 Season. We are in the prime time of our season so the numbers will only get better. I look forward to seeing your results and sharing them back to our Charter and more. The NHPA web site went through a few problems this Quarter but my Data Bases are just fine. I keep individual stats on everyone in the SCHPA so if you’re interested in your totals so far, I can give you a summary within minutes.
