All african youth games to be hosted in botswana in 2 months yet there is absolutely no buzz about them. This is so surprising, makes one wonder if we really do have intentions of creating an internationally recognised media & communications culture. By now we should be having various activities taking place all around the country; - friendly sports youth games between local teams & neighbouring countries - branding around shopping centres and malls - ads on print media, radio and tv - have our sport icons (that achieved recognition from their youth eras) active around the country promoting the event - corporate branding etc - youth events These are just activations that would ordinarily be taking place in preparations for such. We dont know of any field developments around, we dont know our own various team members, we dont know the organisers of this tournament, we know fokol about this tournament. ( we referring to the country at large) and no one can prove me otherwise for sure. I have only seen 1 billboard about the tournament in Gabz.. and then one wonders, what is the ministry of youth and sports, botswana tourism, cell networks, bedia, brand botswana, botswana post, etc doing about all this? Private companies, restaurants, etc! What is the communications manager of this tournament doing? SHAME!
