All educated and intelligent Americans, in my view, should be scared or at least start worrying, about the messages in these charts. Scared for their children and grandchildren ! As an economist 1, 4, 5, 6, and 8 are really scary. If the top 1 percent are grabbing all the gains in income and wealth, how is the economy expected to grow and create jobs ? Are we in a slow vicious circle of dragging everyone down ? Do the Republicans who will be ruling us now have an answer ? Or for that matter the Democrats ? I believe that a solution can only come from a good blend of policies from both camps . And this seems almost impossible as cooperation for what is best for the country seems too much to ask for. What a nightmare !
